RENEWABLE WARRANTIES FOR SUSTAINABLE ROOFING
We offer both long term material and full system warranty options on most roof types when our system is installed by one of our Independent Contractor/Dealers.
The AWS Dealer will work closely with you to choose the best system to match your roofing needs and budget. Often times the contractor will offer our material warranty along with his company’s workmanship, or labor, warranty. You should negotiate what type of warranty will be issued at the time of the contract.
Our warranties are renewable as your original warranty expires. Just contact us within 30 days after your warranty has expired. We will have an AWS Dealer survey your roof, and work with you to renew your warranty for an additional five or ten years depending on the system and environmental conditions. In most cases all it takes is trouble shooting the roof for any areas that need attention or water-proofing. For our Coatings or Spray Foam warranties, an additional coat or two are necessary to extend the warranty. In our Single-Ply Division, we will waterproof the seams and penetrations and install the appropriate coating system to renew your existing warranty. Either way, the savings to you versus replacing your roof is significant.
All AWS material warranties cover our products against material defects and states that if our product is properly installed, AWS warranties it to last for the duration of the warranty. The American WeatherStar Material Warranty does not cover the building owner against leaks in the system and is limited to product replacement.
You may also ask the Contractor/Dealer ou are working with about the full system, American WeatherStar Labor and Material Warranty. This warranty option covers our materials and the workmanship used to install them against leaks. In order for an American WeatherStar full system warranty to be issued, either an American WeatherStar representative or a third party roof inspection firm, PFRI Services, inspects each roof to ensure the workmanship meets our standards.
