TPO Non-Reinforced Flashing

DESCRIPTION

TPO Non-reinforced Flashing is a .060" (1.5 mm) unreinforced thermoplastic flashing material to be used in conjunction with all WeatherStar TPO membrane systems. It is specifically used on corner and pipe flashings.

INSTALLATION

Please consult current WeatherStar TPO specifications and details for specific applications.

1.   Substrates must be clean, dry, smooth, free of sharp edges, tins, loose or foreign materials, oil, grease, and other materials which may damage the flashing.

2.   All roughened surfaces which could damage the flashing shall be repaired as specified to offer a smooth substrate.

3.   All surface voids greater than 1/4" (6 mm) wide shall be properly filled with an acceptable fill material.

PRECAUTIONARY DATA

• Take care when moving, transporting, handling, etc., to avoid sources of punctures and physical damage.
• Isolate, from prolonged exposure, waste products such as petroleum products, greases, oils (mineral and vegetable), and animal fats from the TPO membrane.
• Contact American Weatherstar for specific recommendations.

WARRANTY

American WeatherStar warrants that the material supplied will meet or exceed physical properties as published. The contractor guarantees that workmanship will be free of defects in coating application. Since performance of previously installed substrate is beyond the control of American WeatherStar or the contractor, requests for additional warranty coverage shall be subject to prior approval by American WeatherStar.
