TPO Coated Metal

DESCRIPTION

TPO Coated Metal is a 24 gauge metal laminated to a TPO film. The TPO film enables TPO Membrane to be heat welded to the metal. TPO Coated Metal is used as a perimeter edge metal of shop fabricated curb in WeatherStar TPO roof systems.

INSTALLATION

TPO Coated Metal may be cut on any commercial metal shear and bent into several edge metal details that can be used in approved WeatherStar details.

APPLICATION PRECAUTIONS

• Substrates must be clean, dry, smooth, free of sharp edges, tins, loose or foreign materials, oil, grease, and other materials which may affect the application of this product.
• All roughened surfaces that could damage the TPO film shall be repaired as specified to offer a smooth substrate.
• All surface voids greater than 1/4" (6 mm) wide shall be properly filled with an acceptable fill material.
• Assure that structural decking will support the loads incurred by the material stored on roof top. The deck load limitations should be specified by the project designer.

PRODUCT DATA

• Container Size:  10 - 4' x 10' (1.2m x 3m) sheets per pallet.
• Storage:  Store away from sources of physical damage.

PRECAUTIONARY DATA

• Take care when moving, transporting, and handling, etc., to avoid sources of physical damage.
• Isolate from prolonged exposure to waste products such as petroleum products, greases, oils (mineral and vegetable), and animal fats.
• Contact American Weatherstar for specific recommendations.
• Material Safety Data Sheet available upon request.

WARRANTY

American WeatherStar warrants that the material supplied will meet or exceed physical properties as published. The contractor guarantees that workmanship will be free of defects in coating application. Since performance of previously installed substrate is beyond the control of American WeatherStar or the contractor, requests for additional warranty coverage shall be subject to prior approval by American WeatherStar.
